Our definition of time concerns both the way we perceive ongoing time, and time as the binding element in the construction of our memories. Time understood in the latter sense represents the way to tell stories or to re-create them on basis of given symbols.
The rituals, symbols and signs marking this understanding have a shared, almost universal character in terms of their formal appearance and graphic presentation. The openness of these well-known symbols is translated into specific experiences or recollections by means of the chosen setting and the presence of the viewer. The individual presence is reinfused into this timeless symbolic setting.
